Lesson 7: Brainstorming for New Ideas

Brainstorming is a critical component of conflict resolution. Research shows that the ability to generate a variety of ideas is the determining factor in whether students can solve conflicts successfully. According to research, the quantity of ideas is as important as the quality.

Students will be able to:

  • List a variety of solutions.

  • Discuss the importance of working together to stimulate creative problem solving.

  • Demonstrate the communication skill of encouraging.

  • Complete a brainstorm in cooperative group.
