Lesson 6: Tattling and Reporting

Lesson 6 will explain the difference between Reporting and Tattling. Reporting is something that involves a threat to safety while Tattling does not. Students will consider different situations and decide if they are examples of Tattling or Reporting. Students also will have an opportunity to act out Tattling and Reporting to understand the difference. Finally, Lauren will take students through a recap of everything they learned in the Safer, Smarter Kids curriculum.

Materials Needed For Each Student:

-Their journals. -Tattling vs Reporting center activity. scissors glue-Certificate of achievement for each student. -Lesson 6 sticker.-Lesson 6 parent letter.

I’m sure you’ve had this talk lots of times with your students!! We are going to talk about the difference between tattling and when we should report (i.e when something isn’t safe). The center activity for this lesson will require pieces be cut out and glued to we will be wrapping up Safer, Smarter Kids with our final lesson!
